本教材通过选择代表性的看、听、说素材介绍 中国文化，配以生动有趣、通俗易懂的练习，从多 个视角了解中国文化，探讨中国文化的传承，探索 中西文化的融合，选材力求兼顾知识性和趣味性。 本册教材共四个中国文化主题：社会新风尚、 未来新畅想，命运共同体，世界新格局。每个主题 分为两个单元，共8个单元，每单元由4个部分组成 ：文化导入、听中国、看中国、说中国。文化导入 部分以本单元主题相关的、蕴含深刻文化内涵的素 材为切入点，激发学生对主题的思考。听中国、看 中国、说中国三部分以本单元主题内容为主，音频 、视频长度为4-6分钟时间，语速每分钟110-120词 ，均配有相关习题，以测试学生的理解能力。
