《转型期的中国城市与区域规划靠前会议暨靠前中国城市规划学会第三届年会论文集》内容简介:ApprovedbytheMinistryofEducationofChina,theconferencewasorganizedjointlybyNanjingUniversityandInternationalAssociationforChinaPlanning(IACP),andwashostedandsponsoredbyTheVirtualCityandEnvironmentLaboratory,acollaborativeventurebetweenNanjingUniversityandUniversityofWesternSydney,NanjingInstituteofCityTransportPlanningCo.,LtdandNanjingUrbanPlanning&ResearchCenterco-sponsored,andparticipatedintheorganizationoftheconference.AdditionalsponsorshipswereprovidedbyNanjingUniversity,IACP,andtheUSDepartmentofHousingandUrbanDevelopment.ScholarsfromuniversitiesandresearchinstitutionsinChinaandabroad,urbandesignersandplannersworkingforpublicagenciesandprivateconsultingfirms,aswellasgovernmentofficialsresponsibleforcityplanningandmanagementwereinvitedtopresentpapersandexchangeideasattheconference.
TheopeningceremonytookplaceinthemorningonJune22.MorethanonehundredparticipantsfromChinaandabroadgatheredintheconferencehallofScienceandTechnologyMuseumonNanjingUniversitycampus.ProfessorXUJian-gang,ChairmanofNanjingUniversity'sDepartmentofUrbanandRegionalPlanning,andProfessorSHENQing,ChairmanofIACPandtheAssociateDeanforAcademicAffairs,SchoolofArchitecture,Planning,andPreservationattheUniversityofMaryland,co-chairedtheopeningceremony.REN.Li-jian,VicePartySecretaryofNanjingUniversity,andProfessorGAOShu,DeanoftheSchoolofGeographicandOceanographicSciences,gavewelcomespeeches.TheycongratulatedtheparticipantsongettingtogetherinthisimportantandexcitingconferenceasscheduleddespitetheH1N1influenzaoutbreakaroundtheworld.
