谢文郁，1956年生，广东梅州人。美国莱蒙特研究生大学(Claremond Graduate University)宗教哲学博上，北京大学哲学硕十。现任山东大学犹太教和跨宗教研究中心和哲学社会发展学院教授。主要作品有：《蒂迈欧篇》(译注，上海人民出版社，2003)，The Concept of Freedom：The Platonic-Augustinian-Lutheran-Kierkegaardian Tradition(Lanham，Maryland：University Press of America，2002)，《失魂和还魂》(加拿大恩福出版社，1995年)，以及数十篇学术论文。
