中国的贸易、工业活动与环境

本书探讨了关于中国贸易、工业活动与环境的四个论题。第一，基于“污染天堂”假说，探讨中国因相对宽松的环境政策是否将污染密集型行业从发达国家吸引过来，从而成为“污染天堂”。研究结果表明中国成为“污染天堂”的可能性并不成立，因为从资源禀赋的角度，污染行业同时也是资本密集型行业，而中国的资源禀赋优势集中在劳动密集型行业。第二，基于对环境产品的需求和供给，探讨中国工业污染产生的各影响因素，发现能源消费、人力资本密集度、生产率和研发投资是最显著的因素。第三和第四论题在污染物集中度超过一定阈值，将对人体健康产生负面影响的科学基础上，分别探讨工业专业化程度和工业空间分布对污染物集中度的影响，结果发现在中国的特定区域这两者对污染物密集度的正向影响都是显著的。
