商务英语考试(Business English Certificate,BEC),由我国教育部考试中心与英国剑桥大学考试委员会合作举办。本考试注重考查考生在商务情景中的英语运用能力,在商界受到跨国企业、外资企业的广泛认可和青睐。
本套书针对BEC初级和BEC中级考试听力、阅读、写作和口语四个部分所需要的能力展开,适用于备考BEC初、中级考试的考生,尤其适用于高职高专英语基础薄弱的考生。本套书不仅能让考生充分准备BEC初、中级考试,也能为其将来更好地工作奠定坚实基础。本套书共计两册,具有以下特点。
一,实战演练性强。本套书并没有照搬BEC考试的题型,而是基于考试四部分所需能力展开,由简到难地设计题型,让考生在训练中逐步提升英语能力和考试能力。
第二,使用便捷性强。本套书在题型设计和排版方面注意考生使用的便捷性,留出答题和分析记录的空白位置,方便学生总结和分析整理。
第三,内容编排循序渐进。每册书开始部分都设置了Entry Test(入门测试),这是编者针对BEC考试的题型编写的一套完整的测试题,目的是让考生在学习前了解自己的水平,找到不足。中间设置了七个学习单元,每个单元包括商务词汇练习、重点语法讲解及练习、商务听力多种题型训练、商务口语实战演练、商务阅读技巧训练、商务资料英汉互译训练、主题商务写作训练。每册书最后设置了Final Test(最终测试),通过完整的测试题考查考生通过一本书实战演练的学习效果。本套书引导考生“做中学、学中做”,在实战演练中进步,在反思总结中提高。
第四,方便教学使用。每册书的内容总量适合一学期使用,包括EntryTest、七个学习单元、Final Test。每个单元建议学习4课时,每册书建议36课时。每册书还提供了听力原文和答案,方便教学使用。
