本标准共8章和4个附录，主要内容有：——规定了天然建筑材料勘察的级别及勘察工作的基本原则。——规定了砂砾石料、土料、石料及可利用开挖料、抬填料、吹填料、泥岩风化料等的勘察、取样试验要求及质量技术指标。——规定了天然建筑材料勘察成果整理及报告编写要求。
