“靠前认知语言学经典论丛”由靠前认知语言学研究领域的理论先驱和专家编撰而成。丛书每一册都聚焦认知语言学研究领域的一个主题，收录一位专家具代表性的文章，集结成册。每册均反映了作者的思索过程和研究轨迹，呈现其学术生涯中的精彩片段。读者从中可探究认知语言学基本思想和重要观点的源与流，了解这一学科的发展历程。

-乌维·潘瑟，是德国汉堡大学终身教授，曾任靠前认知语言学学会（2005-2007）、德国认知语言学学会（2004-2008）。
琳达·桑博格，曾执教美国加利福尼亚州立大学、匈牙利罗兰大学、德国汉堡大学等，在认知语用学、认知形态学、概念转喻等研究领域造诣颇深。本书汇集了两位作者近20年间发表的数十篇精华论文，围绕语言结构与使用的动机、概念意义与语用意义的产出和理解等展开深入探讨，从认知语言学视角全面解读了语言交际中的动机与推理。本书的出版，将极大地方便靠前教师、学生和研究者直接接触认知语言学领域的原版经典论文。
