王晓平，先后毕业于北京大学中文系、香港科技大学人文学部、美国得克萨斯大学亚洲研究系，获博士学位，主要研究方向为20世纪中国现当代文学和文化。现任厦门大学教授，“孔子新汉学汁划”博士生导师，教育部“新世纪很好人才计划”入选者。在《文学评论》、《文艺研究》、《中国现代文学研究丛刊》、《中国文学研究》、《现代中文学刊》、《汉语言文学研究》、《文艺理论研究》、《文艺理论与批评》，以及Comparative Literature Studies，Journal of Contemporary China，Harvard AsiaQuarterly，Stanford Journal of East Asia Affairs，Australasian Journal of Popular Culture，International Critical Thought，Critique，Frontier of Literary Studies in China等中英文刊物发表关于中国文学和文化以及当代电影的中英文论文80余篇，包括在靠前英文学术刊物发表论文20余篇。
