黄少荣教授是美国俄亥俄州辛辛那提大学(University of Cincinnati)英语与沟通交际学(English andCommunication)终身教授，2012年至今应聘任中国人民大学讲座教授,2007年至今应聘任西安外国语大学讲座教授。黄少荣的研究方向为跨文化沟通与政治修辞(cross-cultural communication and political rhetoric)，在美国发表了英文学术论著1部、学术论文17篇。其作为美方主编与中国人民大学合作编写的大学英语本科口语教材1-4册2010年由中国人民大学出版社出版，其译介昆曲《西厢记》一书2013年十二月由外语教学与研究出版社出版。
