绿野仙踪

几乎每一个伟大国度都有其拥有代表性的传世儿童经典，如英国的《爱丽丝梦游仙境》、德国的《格林童话》、丹麦的《安徒生童话》、意大利的《木偶奇遇记》、法国的《小王子》等。而在美国当属弗兰克·鲍姆的《绿野仙踪》。 1900年，鲍姆写作的奥芝（OZ）系列故事中的靠前部《奥芝国的魔法师》（中文版译名《绿野仙踪》）诞生。自问世以来，这本书受到了世界儿童的喜爱，1900年上市便成为畅销书，众多版本畅销至今。如今该书已被译成五十多种文字在优选出版。本书为英文原版，同时随书附赠配套朗读CD，让读者在阅读精彩故事的同时，亦能提升英文阅读水平。

(美)L·弗兰克·鲍姆(L.Frank Baum)，美国有名作家及剧作家，美国儿童文学之父。出生于美国纽约的一个富庶企业主家庭，从小患有先天性心脏病，童年时代几乎都是在阅读中度过。成年后曾先后从事过记者、编辑、演员、公司职员等各种职业。1880年鲍姆开始了写作生涯，1899年出版了靠前部短篇童话集《鹅爸爸的故事》。1900年出版的以虚构的奥芝国为背景创作的《绿野仙踪》成为其很为有名、很受读者欢迎的一部作品，被评选为“十部美国很伟大的儿童文学作品”之一。
