约翰·维特，埃默里大学乔纳斯·罗博彻(Jonas Robitscher)法学教授，阿朗索·L麦克唐纳(Alonzo L．McDonald)杰出教授，法律和宗教研究中心主任。曾发表二十多本著作，近年新作有《法律和新教：路德改革的法学理论》(Law andProtestantism：The Legal Teachings oftheLutheran Reformation，2002)、《权利的转型：现代早期加尔文宗的法律、宗教和人权》(The Reformation of Rights: Law，Religion andHuman Rights in Early Modern Calvinism，2007)及《基督教和法律导论》(Christianity and Law: An Introduction，2008，与弗兰克·亚历山大共同编辑)。
