格雷厄姆、唐力行编著的《标准美国口语（2） 》的编写目的是在第一册的基础上进一步培养国内学 生掌握标准美国英语的语音、语调、节奏和功能。全 书共有11个单元，51课课文。各单元以语言功能划分 ，课文内容实用，主题广泛；最后一个单元是专为北 京2008奥运会而写，内容包括奥运历史、奥运五环、 奥运精神，以及各竞技项目。和第一册有所不同的是 ，本册书适合更广泛的读者使用，不仅小学生、中学 生可以用，大学生和成人自学者也能用。

Frank Tang（唐力行）博士，现任纽约大学英语为第二语言教育（TES0L）系主任，教授。他在中国和美国从事了30多年的英语教育和教师培训工作，并著有多本学术专著和英语教材。 Carolyn Graham纽约大学教授，曾先后任教于哈佛大学、哥伦比亚大学，现在全世界各地进行教师培训工作。Graham教授是Jazz Chants教学法的创始人，创作了大量以Jazz chants教学法理念为指导编写的英语教材。
