“新加坡英语”系列是由新亚出版社（SINGAPORE ASIA PUBLISHERS）与在校优秀教师联合编写的一套卓越课程。本书以新加坡教育处制定的“英文学习与阅读策略计划”（Strategies for English Language Learning and Reading，简称STELLAR）为研发基础，其核心理念是学生学习英语的过程，不仅要注重语言学习本身，更要重视让孩子在阅读中学习语言。在STELLAR的基础上，本书还融合了国际化的优质教学法：通过兴趣浓厚的主题，有效吸引孩子的注意力；通过明确教授语法、单词、以及短语在句子中的运用技巧，促进阅读、写作等语言能力的提升。本书的教学难度和编排体系，适合普通智力家庭，作为课堂外的延展学习使用。本册为系列中3级的上册，适合8-10岁孩子进行学习。
