江边卖水(张信刚演讲集英汉对照)

《江边卖水》选取张信刚教授二十年英文演讲精 华25篇，汉译对照结集出版，按照“谈文化”“论教 育”“话成长”分为三个部分。一篇篇演讲中，作者 化身为游走于不同文明间的观察者，讲述对人文和社 会的真知灼见，对教育和香港未来的无限憧憬。

张信刚，世界著名生物医学工程专家。曾在美国、加拿大著名大学任教二十余年。1990年任香港科技大学工学院创院院长，1994年任美国匹兹堡大学工学院院长，1996年任香港城市大学校长，2007年退休。之后在清华大学、北京大学、山东大学、上海交通大学、中欧国际工商学院及土耳其海峡大学讲授人文通识课程，是北京大学、清华大学等校的名誉教授。发表学术论文百余篇，出版中、英文著作十余部。 张信刚教授于2000年获选为英国皇家工程院外籍院士，2008年当选国际欧亚科学院院士；2000年获法国政府颁授“国家荣誉军团骑士勋章”，2009年又被授予“法国国家学术棕榈司令勋章”；2002年获中国香港特别行政区政府颁授的“金紫荆星章”。曾任香港文化委员会主席、香港科技创新顾问委员会委员等公职。
