马克林（Colirl Patrick Mackerras） 澳大利亚格里菲斯大学荣誉教授，澳大利亚联邦人文学院院士。现为中国人民大学讲座教授，国家级文教专家。
早年曾在墨尔本大学、剑桥大学、澳大利亚国立大学学习，分别获得学士、硕士和博士学位。其研究领域主要包括中国少数民族、中国传统戏剧、中国在西方的形象以及中澳关系等。
马克林教授学术成果斐然，其中包括很多具有国际影响力的论文和著作。他既是学者也是教师，同时还是世界知名百科全书的顾问。此外，他还在中国人民大学为研究生开设了两门课程并协助培养中国人民大学澳大利亚研究中心的硕士研究生和博士研究生。
马克林教授身体健壮，在北京有自己的专用自行车；他生活简朴、为人低调、待人友善；他喜欢音乐、喜欢甜食：在世界各地举行的中国问题研讨会上，人们会经常看到他的身影。
