Professor CHEN Xin is the director of the Economic Division atthe Institute of European Studies, CASS. He studied Economics at PecsUniversity in Hungary in late 1980s and International Politics at theGraduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS)in 1990s. He obtained a Ph.D degree in Law. From 2007 to 2008, hewas appointed as the Chinese Co-Director of the EU-China EuropeanStudies Centres Programme (ESCP), a joint project co-financed by theChinese Government and the European Commission. From October2008, he was elected to the Secretary General position by the Boardof the Chinese Association of European Studies (CAES). He is also anExecutive member of Chinese Association on International EconomicRelations.
